NEW City Board of Elections

City of Westminster Seeks Members
For Newly Created Board of Elections

 The City of Westminster is seeking members for its new Board of Elections.  The Board will decide all questions arising in connection with the conduct of Westminster municipal elections, including the operation of the City’s two polling places on Election Day.  Members of the Board of Elections will also serve as an election judge for Westminster municipal elections. 

Westminster’s Board of Elections will have six members, appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Common Council.  The designated Chairperson and Vice Chairperson of the Board will each serve as a Chief Judge at a City polling location for municipal elections. 

Members of the Westminster Board of Elections shall be qualified voters of the City and shall not hold or be candidates for any elective office during their term. 

Board members appointed between February 15, 2019 and the date of the City election in 2021 will serve until the 2021 election results are certified.  Members who are appointed to the Board following the 2021 election will serve until February 14 of the year that precedes the City election following their appointment.
