Lifeguards

Temporary positions available from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2014; $7.25–$8.50/hr. depending upon experience; 30 – 40 hours per week, week days and weekends depending on schedule; must have certificate in Lifeguard Training, CPR and Standard First Aid.

Operator, Non-Certified (3rd Shift)
Water Treatment Plant


To monitor equipment readings and respond as necessary; mechanical, computer and/or electrical/electronic skills a plus; must have the ability to train for and obtain a State of Maryland Class IV Water Treatment Certificate, which requires a high school diploma or equivalency; must have a valid Class B CDL driver’s license or have a valid Class C driver’s license and the willingness and ability to obtain a Class B CDL driver’s license within 6 months on the job; 40 hrs/week; $13.80/hr plus .95/hour differential for a permanent 11 p.m. – 7 a.m. shift; excellent benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance and retirement plan.

Yoga Instructor
Family Fitness Center


Position available for a dedicated Yoga Instructor, preferably trained in a Vinyasa Flow style. Responsible for providing proper instruction to participants in varying levels of fitness, skill and ability and conduct a professional, safe class offering instruction in various levels of stretching and relaxation including: physical stretching, breathing techniques, and relaxation techniques. A minimum of 200 hours of yoga training certification with 1+ years of teaching experience. Must have current CPR certification. $15-$18/hour, depending on experience. Free membership to gym included, plus continuing education reimbursement for annual certification.

The City of Westminster accepts job applications when there is an advertised opening for a new position or vacant position through the Human Resources Office located at 56 West Main Street.

Unsolicited applications/resumes will not be accepted.

With the exception of Certified Police Officer positions, all new and open regular full-time and regular part-time positions may be advertised internally prior to advertising to the public.
