EVERY DAY IN JULY, A NEW ADVENTURE!
July 1: A Month of Sundays Summer Concert Series kicks off the fun at Westminster City Park beginning at 6:45pm with Say Chance. Admission is free with the donation of a personal care item for Human Services Programs of Carroll County, Inc. City of Westminster Recreation and Parks Department will on hand with raffles and give-a-ways and Rec on the Move will be there to get all the kids up and moving! July 2: Rec On The Move, our award winning program designed to get kids unplugged and moving will be coming to Dutterer Family Park, Monroe Street, from 6-7:30 pm! The mission of Recreation on the Move is to get children ‘unplugged’ and playing, creating opportunities and activities for kids who might not otherwise have the chance to participate in structured programs.
Operated by the City of Westminster Recreation and Parks Department, the recreation van will be stopping by Dutterer Family Park to play games, do crafts and have a snack. A staff member will be on hand to interact and provide instruction.
Recreation on the Move is a free program.
July 3: "Storytime in the Park!" Take one of your favorite books to one of our quieter parks in town like Locust Lane or Belle Grove Square!
July 4: Celebrate Independence Day and watch the fireworks with your family! Click here for details on Westminster's annual event!
July 5: FREE Blood Pressure Screening: The first step to a healthier you is to know your numbers! Stop by the Westminster Family Fitness Center, 11 Longwell Avenue between 9-11am and get your free pressure check!
American Red Cross Blood Drive - Give the gift of life! Drive will be held from 1-7pm at the Westminster Family Fitness Center. Call Eva or Shelly for an appointment.
Songs at 6:30 at Mary Lou Dewey Library Park, 50 East Main Street. Bronson & His Earthlings will be performing. Admission is free. Click here to view and print a flyer!
July 6 and July 7: Camp Out in City Park (yes, overnight!). Join the City of Westminster Recreation and Parks Department for a good old fashioned camp out in Westminster City Park. Get WILD about Recreation and Parks with roasted marshmallows and hot dogs, a tent, a movie and an overnight adventure in the "wilderness" of City Park! Cost to camp out over night is $10 per family. The "Movie in the Park" portion of the evening is open to the public at no charge. Popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase. This event is sponsored by Carroll Community College, Carroll County Public Library, Westminster Police Department and Ramblin' Pines Campground!

July 10: FREE Snowballs at King Park at 1 p.m. while they last, courtesy of the City of Westminster Recreation and Parks Department!
July 11: Picnic in the Park! Join our friends from Texas Roadhouse at Westminster City Park from 12 noon (til we run out!) for a FREE picnic in the park! Enjoy a delicious pulled pork sandwich from our generous friends!
July 12: Songs at 6:30 at Mary Lou Dewey Library Park, 50 East Main Street. No Saints Band will be performing. Admission is free. Click here to view and print a flyer!
July 13: Night Hike at the Wakefield Valley Community Trail, Tahoma Farm Road. Beginning at 8:30pm, try your luck with us for a night hike along Wakefield Valley Community Trail, Tahoma Farm Road, Westminster on this unluckiest of days! Bring a flashlight and a rabbit's foot along as you hike our two mile trail while avoiding black cats, sidewalk cracks, ladders, broken mirrors and more! This event is free and open to the public. No preregistration is required.
