 Lime Kiln Interpretive Park

The Fenby Farm Quarry and Lime Kiln site include the remains of two lime kilns, an unidentified room built into the hill slope near the kiln, and a nearby quarry (now the Fenby Farm Boulder Park). Extensive historical research conducted by Ken Short for the Maryland Historic Site Inventory form (CARR-260) indicates that the lime kilns and quarry were in operation by 1844 to sometime after 1905. (Heritage Resources, 1997). Today the Lime Kiln Interpretative Park can be seen on your visit to the Wakefield Valley Trail or the Fenby Farm Boulder Park.
