What if my landlord won't fix issues in my rental?
Make a list and send it to your landlord by certified mail. If, after 30 days, the repairs aren't corrected then contact the Code Enforcement Officer, who will make a routine inspection. If the routine inspection finds violations, the Code Enforcement Officer will send the landlord a letter outlining the items to be corrected with a time frame. If the landlord fails to correct the items within the time frame, the landlord will be issued a citation for a minimum fine of $200, with the possibility of the case going to District Court.
